[A small, slightly stocky child in a dress sits against a wall in one of the hallways. It's clear she doesn't know she's being recorded. Soft, pitiful sniffles can be heard. If her damp face is any indication, she's been crying for a while.

For how upset she is, she's being awfully quiet about it.

The girl rubs her nose on the collar of her dress and scuffs her shoes on the floor.]

[Shannon jumps. She wasn't paying enough attention to notice her comm was on.]

Hmmn?

[She picks the comm up and puts it in her lap, looking down at it. Her fists rubs against her eyes a couple times before she finally says something.]

Why are you crying? Uh... Coach?

[It feels weird calling her that when she's a little girl, but he doesn't know what else to say.]

I had a bad dream. And my parents aren't here.
