[A small, slightly stocky child in a dress sits against a wall in one of the hallways. It's clear she doesn't know she's being recorded. Soft, pitiful sniffles can be heard. If her damp face is any indication, she's been crying for a while.

For how upset she is, she's being awfully quiet about it.

The girl rubs her nose on the collar of her dress and scuffs her shoes on the floor.]

She takes his hand suddenly and starts leading him off to the nearest room with a closet.]

We're playin' football.

Well, with just two people I guess it's more like catch. But we can tackle each other and stuff too, right?

[She drags him outside, the doors opening for the two of them easily. Once they've found a nice open patch of grass, she lets go of his hand and pats his shoulders meaningfully.]

[And then she takes the ball and scurries off across the grass. Enough space between them, and she's ready to start this catch business.]

Okay, I'm gonna throw it!

[Dave stands where he is.]

Okay! I'm ready when you are!

[He gets ready to either chase it down to catch it or just plain catch it. Whichever comes first, really.

Huh, he wonders how good of an arm she has....]

[Dave grins and throws it back, arcing decently and just a little short in front of Shannon.]

[She grins, proud of her throw. She's good at this stuff, goshdangit!

She fetches the ball from where it landed and returns to her place.]
