Beiste thinks Kurt’s an awfully sweet kid, but she’s starting to think he’s a little too uptight for his own good. While she admires his resilience in the face of adversity and, at times, wishes she could be as tough as he can be, she’s more than a little worried that his tendency to avoid danger might be what gets him into trouble. When she looks at him she can see both herself and the sort of person she wishes she could be, and this fact makes it difficult for her to get very close to him.

Beiste’s connection to Santana has grown over their time together in the mansion, and she’s come to realize just how much Santana is willing to let her in. Shannon doesn’t take this trust lightly, and does her best to be the authority figure that Santana sometimes needs to keep her from going over the edge in times of great stress. Beiste can tell that Santana’s adolescence is an exceedingly difficult time for her, and she wants nothing more to see her come out of it healthy and happy—she just isn’t sure if she’s the person Santana needs right now, and that fact worries her tremendously.

Noah Puckerman is one of Beiste’s best players, and frankly the sort of kid to have her back even when it isn’t strictly appropriate. It’s the strength of kids like Puck that make her job worthwhile, and until Puck realizes that he himself is worthwhile, she doesn’t feel like her job is done. Unfortunately, Beiste can’t open up to Puck the way he has to her, at times, for fear of undermining her tough image and causing him to stop trusting her.

He's nice to her in a way that many kids his age wouldn't necessarily be able to be without forcing it, and Beiste can tell he's a very genuine person. She'll have to ask him some more about the Rabbit Doubt thing, though...

	🏈🏈 Anything else you can tell me about these books? Beiste thinks Sirius is sweet, and out of all the characters in the books he'd be her, uh, "type". That is, he would be if he wasn't currently 16. As it is, she just wants to protect the kid and keep him from knowing what's inevitably going to happen to him.

Beiste thinks Phillip is a really nice, polite guy, and she likes his accent. And he kinda excited her ladyparts, although she's well aware he's not interested in her in the least...except for recently? Which she isn't sure about yet, obviously, and until she finds out about Clarence she's going to assume Phillip just cracked and is a sexhound or something because why would he hit on her?

	🏈🏈 See? We are both very purrpared! Beiste appreciated Nepeta's kindness during the sleepover, and despite all the weird cat things she does, she thinks she's one of the easier to understand trolls. Nepeta is definitely one of her "kids".

	🏈🏈🏈 Good one on like, picking the winning team ♥ Beiste thinks Poland is a nice kid, and she hates that he's had to go through so much crap. She just wishes it hadn't made him so jaded, since he's otherwise a pretty bright and happy guy.

She can't help but feel partially responsible for the things Terezi did during the Rabbit Doubt-- after all, it'd be a really off day if she couldn't take a thirteen year old, right? Still, she wants Terezi to feel better more than anything, so her concern for the kid is even stronger than ever.

Beiste knows Dave's only thirteen, just like Terezi, and that's the main reason why she's going to forgive him so quickly for what happened during the Rabbit Doubt event. In all honesty it was probably harder on him than it was on the people he killed, and she'd sooner support him through it than assume it's something he's capable of doing again.

That's exactly what I've been trying to tell this woman, but apparently she thinks you don't know how to raise your own children.

To be honest, even now Beiste can't tell what to make of the good Doctor. She's not so sure he's got all his screws tight, but it probably means something that he hasn't killed anyone with his experiments or let one of his crocs eat a baby or something. ~~She'd still like a pet croc, not that she'd ask for it.~~

	🏈🏈 Anyway, you seem to be doing a pretty good job from where I'm standing. I think it's great you're looking out for them. Spencer seems like a nice girl, but Beiste hasn't had much of a chance to talk to her. She's got a good head on her shoulders, she can tell that much, but since she isn't a McKinley kid it might take a bit for her to get truly attached.

It may seem strange, but Beiste really took to Masky. The poor, mixed-up kid has obviously been taken advantage of by people, and the fact that it's done so much damage to him makes Shannon want to take care of him. She wishes she could do more, but her fear of making things worse somehow keeps her from getting too close to him. Even so, at the moment he's one of the people she's closest to in the mansion, and if something happened to him she'd be very upset.

	🏈🏈🏈 I'm supposed to knock you over? What if I hurt you? Like Masky, Beiste can tell Jack isn't all there, or at the very least got held back somehow. But his eagerness to learn and his athletic abilities endeared him to her quickly, and as far as she's concerned he's one of her boys now.

~~Outside of fail on my part to get them interacting more...~~ Tim isn't necessarily a bad guy on his own. But the fact that Beiste is vaguely aware of him sleeping with Santana irks her, and not for all the reasons you might suspect. For one, she's actually kind of jealous of the attention Santana's getting, and this is probably the main reason why she doesn't like him-- honestly, she probably wouldn't disapprove of the relationship's age difference all that much if she didn't have mixed feelings about her own sexuality. TL;DR but basically Tim is the victim of Beiste's insecurity (and also wants Terminators, who wants Terminators?)
